Jana Oliver New Books "Soul Thief" and "Demon Trappers: Forbidden"
When I asked Jana, "What do you want your fans to know", she replied that The big thing right now is the upcoming release of her second book in the Demon Trappers series (SOUL THIEF) which will be August 30th, 2011 and the UK/Australian edition (THE DEMON TRAPPERS: FORBIDDEN) will be out August 5th.
Jana said she is also running a special contest from now until mid-September to celebrate the new series. Monthly, she’ll be giving away prizes that include bookstore gift certificates and special Demon Trapper goodies (including copies of Demon Trappers Daughter. and early copies of Soul Thief). In September, she is giving away an Apple iPad and an iPad Touch. Once you’ve registered, your name stays in the hat until the Grand Prize drawing September 15. Debbie Viguie Tells Timegate About Her New Book "Damned" of Her Crusade Series And Author Tips
At the TimeGate Con 2011, Debbie Viguie participated as a best selling author. She is writing five concurrent books. Her latest co-authored book in the second in the Crusade series, is called "Damned" and will be released in right before her attendance at San diego Comic Con July 21-24, 2011 and Dragon Con in Atlanta, GA September 2-5, 2011. She released "Retold Fairy Tales" series earlier this year. Debbie runs contests from her twitter account periodically asking the first fan who tells her the title of one of her books will win and get an autographed copy of one of her books.
When asking Debbie her thoughts about helping other authors, her advice was to keep writing. When you finish your first book, keep writing and go the the 2nd, and the 3rd, etc. This way as an author you begin developing your own style. Other advice Debbie gave was about whether to get an agent or not. If you are writing a romance novel in any subject matter, Harlequin Romance are the only publishers who will accept manuscripts without an agent. If on the other hand you are definitely wanting an agent, then be sure to focus on agents as opposed to Editors. Evident
