Step 5: NEVER Work Alone - Enjoy The Benefits of A Community Approach To Making Online Profits
The average small or home-based business person, the average entrepreneur approaches the net all alone -- with absolutely NO assistance of any kind. Now, think for a minute what this means. The Internet can be a very dangerous place. After all, like the real world it mirrors, it offers a lush environment for sexual and financial predators, outright terrorists and people who simply think it's "cool" to create mindless mayhem.
Newbies who venture into this environment all by themselves suffer a staggering high failure rate -- fully 99% of them are losers. This is easily understandable when you think these folks:
- don't know or have the tools they need
- have never had any training in how the 'net works
- don't know where or how to find good prospect leads
- have no technical expertise or readily available technicians
- don't know when and how to use email properly
- have no way to collect payments, etc.
These folks -- and their numbers are legion -- try to solve these problems by joining various business "opportunities", including network marketing and affiliate programs. These "opportunities" don't work however, because the people who join them never get the training and hands-on assistance they need. They simply fall for the carefully crafted hype -- only to be quickly disillusioned by how little assistance they're actually given. These people then find themselves jumping from "opportunity" to "opportunity" seeking to find the magic one that actually works.
I call these people the "fleas", jumping unsuccessfully from program to program, continually throwing good money after bad without anything to show from it except irritation and frustration. Perhaps you recognize your own net experience in this profile.
Here's even more bad news for the folks who are trying to profit by working alone and have their own website. When you're a solo entrepreneur, you face this fundamental problem. The Internet is a 24-hour per day international environment. It NEVER closes.
