About Charles Farlow, Master Stylist

As a master stylist with 28 years experience, Charles began his career at Arnold International University of Cosmetology where he studied Pivot Point technique. After receiving his cosmetology license, he furthered his training at one of Atlanta's top hair salons, eventually co-owning a new salon with his former teacher. The move to the hair industry emerged from a brief sojourn as a fashion designer (following 3 years military service), thus continuing Charles's passionate interest in all forms of architecture for the human body. To maintain his expertise in current styles and techniques Charles has trained with the industry's leaders: Vidal Sassoon in London, Alexander in Paris and Harlow of Paris in his Southeast locations, to name a few. Charles is a Certified Color Instructor with Schwartzkopf and has been certified in the "George Michael of Madison Avenue" system of Long Hair Care since 1978.

Having used Aveda products for over two decades, Charles formally completed Aveda's extensive certification program in Aromatherapy in 1999. Charles has studied with many expert designers as well. These include Rusk, John Sahag, Toni & Guy. He is referred on naturalcurley.com for Special Curly Hair Cutting. In the Men's Cutting field, he trained with American Crew. He has had in depth classes with Tom Despenza of Chromastics Color N.Y.C.. Charles has a very unique approach and a gifted eye to perfect any color.

Charles is trained for retexturizing with Rusk, Anti-Curl, Keratin Protein Smoothing, and Rusk Straightening System. He is constantly studying and looking for the latest in hair care products, and recommends natural fragrance and organic ingredients.

Charles is very willing to consult with you and help you create a home hair care system so that you may maintain the most beautiful hair possible. He also does nutritional consulting and teaches the importance of super foods for beautiful hair, skin, vitality, health, and energy, and is also trained in Rieke (energy healing).

Rounding out his holistic interests, Charles is an avid hiker and cyclist, a serious student of psychology and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), a Third Degree Reiki Master, and is currently training as an interfaith minister with Venus Rising and AIWP, focusing on breathwork as a tool to evoke the healer within.
