Senegal, a former French colony in West Africa, offers a plethora of options for those looking for a spot of gambling. Senegal casinos can be found both in the capital Dakar, and the port town of Saint-Louis, a couple of hundred miles to the north. There are four casinos to draw in the punters in Dakar, the Casino Du Cap Vert, the Casino Du Port, Casino Terrou-bi, and the Casino Café de Rome, whilst Saint-Louis has one, the Casino De St. Louis.
Senegal casinos tend to be located in resort complexes. The largest, in Dakar, is the Casino Terrou-bi, located on the Route Corniche Ouese. This report features not only a casino, but a hotel, gastronomic restaurant, swimming pool, and night club. The casino's air-conditioned Salle de Jeux offers twelve gaming tables, playing English roulette, blackjack, and stud poker. The opening hours are 10 pm to 3 am every day of the week. The casino also enjoys 130 slot machines, also in an air-conditioned room with a panoramic view of the ocean. The slot machines are available to play from 2 pm to 4 am, again every day of the week.
Dakar's second largest casino, the Casino Du Port, owned by the same group as the Casino Terrou-bi, is to be found at 19 Boulevard de la Liberation. Again, in climate-controlled surroundings, gamers can enjoy 100 slot machines and ten gaming tables- playing blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, and English roulette. Additionally, the resort offers gamers a 300 seat bingo hall, with games on Wednesday and Sunday. It is open every day except Sunday, and the opening hours are 8 pm to 3 am, Monday to Thursday, and 8 pm to 4 am on Friday, Saturday, and public holidays.
There are two more casinos in Dakar. The Casino du Cap Vert, or Green Cape in English, is on the Route de Ngor, in Dakar-Yoff. It has sixteen slot machines and five gaming tables - three playing American roulette, two blackjack, and one poker. Finally, there is the Casino Café de Rome.
For visitors who would rather place their bets outside the capital, some 200 miles to the north is the port town and world heritage site of Saint Louis. Here gamblers will find the fourth of the Senegal casinos, the Casino De St. Louis, which is located on the Quai Roume. This casino has ten gaming tables, offering gamblers a choice of American roulette, blackjack, poker, and 24 slot machines.
