Sending your message through video can be a great way to send a message. Your video can be quick and simple but there is more impressive than a great message and a great video. Here a few tips on how to make your video look good.
Lighting:
-When lighting for the camera your key area of focus is going to be your "subject", in this case you. You want to make sure you are clearly visible to the camera but you don't want too much light or you will be washed out and all you viewer will see is a big glare. "Soft" or "diffused" light is best for web casting since there is not much control available through the web camera, unless you are using a professional camera then your options are vast...
-The "back lighting" is also an important. Having good back light will give your video more depth of field therefor making the image more dynamic. You want to be subtle and not take away from lighting the subject. It can be the natural lighting in the room or a light directly on an object like a desk.
Editing:
- You can also give your video even more pizazz by adding in tiles and keeping in only the best parts. Most computers already have easy to use editing software like "windows movie maker". You can add a title to the beginning to explain what you will be talking about, add your name and what you do, and make bulletins that go along with your video.
These are a few pointers on how you can make your web cast look good without spending too much time. So, the next time someone views your video they will not only be drawn in by the content but also the visual presentation!
