How We Got Involved in Medicare Supplements

Susan and I became acutely interested in Medicare when I turned 65 in 2002 and she turned 65 in 2006. What an eye opening experience that was! As we searched for Medicare plans for ourselves, we realized that it was complicated and confusing. Because of this, often insufficient or incomplete information was being given to us for choices. This left us vulnerable in areas we didn't even consider-- the "what ifs".

We primarily specialize in the Senior Health Care market such as Medicare Supplements and Advantage, Prescription Drug Plans, Long Term Care Plans, Final Expense, and Life Insurance. Since we are always researching for ourselves, it is a natural to search for others our age.

Health Care has been a topic of discussion in our family for many years. We hear it from both sides - provider and user. My Wife, Susan Rogers, was a Pharmacist for 30 years, witnessing multiple insurance and healthcare issues among seniors and all ages. I, myself, have been a financial consultant for over 40 years with much study of the healthcare industry.

My son, Andy Fine, has been an Internal Medicine Physician for 14 years in Denver, Colorado. He teaches at Univ. of Colorado School of Medicine and has been a consultant and advisor to Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and United Healthcare.

My son, Dennis Fine, is presently the COO of The Dupage Medical Group near Chicago, Illinois. Previously he was the administrator for Radiology Assoc. of San Antonio, Texas. Prior to that, Dennis was the CEO of Northside Radiology Assoc. in Atlanta, Georgia.
