In most instances, flotation is used for processing sulfide auriferous ores whose flotability is quite high and the effect is most notable. By flotation, the gold can be enriched to sulfide ore concentrate as much as possible and the abandoned tailings can be got. The ore dressing cost is also quite low. Flotation process can be used to process polymetallic ores, such as gold-copper, gold-lead, gold-antimony, gold-copper-zinc-lead, etc. For this kind of ore, flotation process can effectively select all kinds of auriferous sulfide ore concentrate and realize to achieve the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources. Moreover, patio process or cyanide process can not be used directly to process the undissolved ores and the joint process which contains the flotation to process the undissolved ores.

For the ores with coarse grains, when the gold grains is larger than 0.2mm and the flotation gold is also larger than 0.2mm, the flotation is quite hard to process the gold ores. For the ore stones which is hard to obtain necessary flotation conditions, if the quartz quality gold ores do not have sulfide, after pulp mixing, stable flotation bubbles are hard to be got so the flotation has some difficulties.
