After the launch of newer handsets in the market that have seemed dominate the industry, it has been mandatory for Apple to come with something new and exciting. It had been a long time since the last iOS 5.1 was launched and the company seemed to lack behind in the technology was by other companies. Apple had realized the need for bringing a new operating system that could be assisted with its current models and give them something new. The customers had also been bored of the old operating system and they wanted to have a more power packed feature. Keeping all these things in mind, the company has recently come up with the new OS.
The iOS 6 is the latest invention by the company and it has proves to attract people from all around. The upgrade has been made available to the users but it has been restricted to the iPhone 4s deals and iPad2 or above. It seems that the company also wants their old handset users to upgrade to the latest model in order to use the new technology. It has been some kind of a distress for many users as they had been using their old phone and seemed quite content with it.
There are newer features and apps in the new OS. One of the coolest features is the new Maps app. This app is considered to take over Google maps and it is aimed to give the users the same experience as they have had with Google. The 3D flyover mode is one of the capabilities of this new version. This gives the user to navigate through the major cities of the world giving them a view like from the sky. The company claims that it will enable the users to see the subjects as if they were flying the sky.
It would give you more of a feeling that you a bird when you would be using this app. You can also have a fair idea about the major buildings of that particular city. However to enjoy this feature, Apple’s small screen on the handsets might just be a turn off. It does not give you a very great landscape picture of the areas on the app. Using this feature on the iPad can be said to be more interesting. You can also FaceTime via 3G instead of Wi-Fi in this new OS.
