In this modern world every person is completing their small tasks with the help of the mobile phones. In short smart phones have replaced almost all the gadgets like alarm clock, cameras and so on. According to the mobile network O2 instead of making calls mobile phones are used for much other work. An owner of the smart phone utilizes its handset for more than two hours per day and in that average time he spends 25 minutes in the web browsing, 13 minutes playing games, 17 minutes in social networking sites and 16 minutes listening to music. From this it is clear that in spite of making calls through the smart phones it is used for writing or checking the mails.
According to the survey many people use up just three minutes per day in clicking photographs. Photography is the most popular activity done by the handset as 74% of the people say that have taken this picture with their handset. The other name of the smart phones is digital Swiss Army Knife which has replaced watches, laptops, cameras and books as said by General Manager of O2 in United Kingdom. He has also observed that there is no increase in the calls of the smart phones instead of other activities.
There are many people who don’t carry wrist watch in their hands and many people that use their hand set as alarm clock. This trend is very much common in United States since 2007 where people make very few calls with their handset moreover the length of call is just around 90 seconds. Now a day a new lesson has thrown some illumination on how we employ our smart phones. And it brings a conclusion that that these handsets are just the social networking or internet gadgets.
According to the thinking of the people they feel as if chatting, text messaging, browsing over the internet is very much reasonable as compare to the call rates. Moreover taking picture, shooting the videos all does not charge any money to them or are free of cost. So they don’t have to purchase expensive cameras for their trip as their handsets performs all the functions very well.
