Across the nation police are waging war like Batman against his arch enemy. Police are fighting the gush of technological thieves stealing iPhones, iPads and iPods, because they’re high-priced, petite and simple to pinch. Many selling for 400-dollars upward, hundreds finding their way overseas to be sold on the black market, to include, Russia (for a going rate of 1,500 US dollars).

The theft of iPhones, iPad and iPods escalated to a point the police have coined the phrase “Apple Picking” to alert the public to this growing band of common thieves.

If you’re like most, you saw the video tape on the evening news about thieves slamming their vehicle into an Apple Store window. You watched these idiots as they tried to back out of the store. Over 10-months in New York City alone, reportedly, of the 26,000 electronic devices stolen 81% were mobile phones, with cell phone robberies growing to 54% between ’07 and ’11.
