In trunnion bearing Ball Mills, why we are using movable bearing at the feed end and fixed bearing at the discharge end?
The fixed bearing is always on the side of the Girth Gear or the Central Drive. This is to ensure that the teeth of the Girth Gear & Pinion do not mismatch due to expansion of the mill when in operation; with central drives, the prescribed gaps in the couplings are maintained or the location of the ouput gear of the Gear Box is not disturbed. This arrangement makes the clinker feed at the other end. Get rotary kiln, ball mill, ball mill From http://www.ballmill8.com
